baair designs commercial and professional spaces, and the furniture that equips them. We work for brands, retailers, property groups and independent professionals. The studio is in France; the projects are everywhere.
01 — Where we come from
Twenty years drawing for commerce — from the independent shop to the shopping centre, from brand concepts to medical practices.
Those years built one conviction and one reflex. The conviction: a space is a working tool before it is a décor. The reflex: every drawing is checked against what can be built, assembled and paid for. That is why we speak the same language as joiners, fitters and project owners.
02 — The manifesto
A good product is no longer enough.
What creates preference is the experience of the place where people meet it. Four convictions hold all our work.
We start by looking.
Watching how people use a place, understanding what they expect, catching the essence of a brand or a craft. The concept comes from there — not from a trend book.
Emotion is performance.
A place that moves people is a place they enter, stay in and return to. That shows at the till, not only in photographs.
Drawings must be buildable.
A detail that can’t be built isn’t a detail: it’s a broken promise. We design within the constraints of the workshop.
Consistency makes identity.
From the storefront to the hanger, every choice tells the same story — yours. That is how you recognise a designed place.
03 — How we work
Nine milestones, named deliverables.
Every project follows the same path: framing, site data, boards, direction, draft, deliverables. You always know where the project stands and what is expected of you.
We are not a construction manager. baair designs, draws, sources and supports your decisions; running the build belongs to the contractors and their site managers. Saying it upfront avoids misunderstandings — and it is exactly why our network matters.
04 — The network
Who builds, who is on site.
A project stands on the people who build it. We work with joiners, shopfitters, lighting specialists, engineering consultants and 3D studios chosen project by project — and when the site is far away, a local partner holds the ground: a contractor, a fitter or a partner architect.
